There’s so many ways to cosplay your favourite characters; how do you create your final form?

Con Mom

Like a shepherd you protect and guide your flock. You’re probably the most experienced with conventions in your group. You know the best booths, when to line up for the freebies, the people to avoid and how much water to drink–ALL OF IT.

Pro Cosplayer

Armour-dremmeled. Wig-styled. Colour contacts-drying your eyes out. You stayed up late all week to get this costume done and it looks amazing. As a jack-of-all-trades you made everything yourself, wig styling, costume makeup, the foam armour and even sewed the fabric pieces. You are an artiste and love the craft- wearing it to the con is just displaying your hard work.

Niche Cosplayer

You have perfectly embodied your favorite character from that anime or video game that no one is recognizing–and you don't care. You feel great, and while the lack of recognition doesn’t feel great at times, being able to move through the con floor without being stopped for pictures all the time is nice. And when that person does come up recognizing who you are it feels amazing you’ve made an instant friend.

Handler

Maybe you have a casual clothes costume on, but probably none at all. You are probably a partner of a cosplayer or part of a friend group that cosplays but you usually don't. Unfortunately you are the handler;holder of stuff. You are the agile team member able to move through crowds easily, you run the errands, get their food and help with photoshoots. They appreciate you, even if they don’t tell you enough and they own you a hearty cocktail.
